Contact Shelley Skinner to volunteer for morning, afternoon, evening or night shift for the Color Guard Invitational. She will have specific times for the needs for each area. Students are welcome to volunteer.
Volunteer Options/Needs Include:
· Parking Lot—outside job; direct the buses and trucks in the right direction for dropping off/picking up students and equipment
· Loading Dock—helps schools bring in equipment in a timely manner by the PFC loading dock; directs them to where to take equipment
· Color guard Entrance—check the color guards in by collecting “Declaration sheets”, money for extra tickets, video order; hand out director packets, and stamp each color guard members hand
· Spectator Entrance—collect money from spectators for entry into contest, sell programs, stamp spectators hands
· Hallway supervisors—make sure performance equipment is lined up in performance order down M-hallway, keep D-hallway clear for performance equipment and color guard groups to pass
· Gym Door Shutters—check spectators/performers for hand stamps before entering competition, close gym doors prior to performance time of each group
· Room Monitors—check homerooms before and after groups arrive, will lock and unlock doors as needed
· Hospitality Workers—make sure hospitality rooms are stocked with food as needed for judges, bus/truck drivers, and directors
· Concessions—work concession stand for the show
· Equipment check—check each schools equipment to make sure poles and weapons are taped and secure
· Equipment Warm-up—time color guard warm up time and make sure no one goes over their allotted time
· Prop Entry/Exit—open and close performers entry/exit doors
· Videographer—videotapes color guard performance
